ooo. baby names.
let's see...
Peony, I have to vote out Rex because I once named a fish Rex. lol.
Someone else somewhere mentioned the name Charlie (though I think because that's the name they were planning to use) and I quite agree that all the people I know named Charlie are cute... especially that boy with the little sister named Lucy.
Here are some ideas:
Isaac
Philip
Anthony
Bartholomew
Alphonsus
I also personally like the name Benjamin & hope to someday use it myself, but this kiddo really needs a name so there it is :)

well, i love Damian, but Lincoln doesn't care for it much. I also love Nathaniel and I'm sure we won't use that one either. I like Marco - that would be nice, since you're part italian. My brother's name is Daniel - oh and it would be like yours ;). I still like Raphael. My other nephews names are Lucas and Benjamin. I recommend both...

Doesn't Deus mean God in Latin? I don't know about that as a nickname!
Taste in names is such a personal thing. Pansy's taste seems kind of varied, and mine is really narrow -- at least for boy names. So I'm not of much help.

i'll give you a dollar if you name him atticus. i LOVE that name and would have used it myself but our last name begins with an a & we didn't want "AA" as initials.

Isaac is my baby's name! It means "he who brings laughter" or "he laughs." Feel free to use it. ;)
other suggestions: Abraham, William, Garth, Gregory.

I like Atticus as well, but I just associate it with Atticus Finch.
Hmmm...I like Romero, Xavier, Ewan, Haydn, Francis, Clement, Gabriel, Henry, Alban, Athanasius, Cyprian, and Isidore. Oh, I like Luis/Louis as well!

I always suggest to my ladies that they check out the top 100 names over at babynames.com - and eliminate anything in the top 50 unless there is a strong family or other reason to use it. I am surprised at how many moms-to-be think that their carefully chosen name is so unique when it's in the top 10!
boy names that I like
john, marc, david, daniel, christopher, damien, andrew, matthew, nathaniel, alasdair, cameron, michael, thomas

Oh, how could I forget? I love Marcus too! I've never met a Marcus I didn't like. :^)

alicia, your taste is a lot like mine, as you may have noticed.

Hi Pansy
I agree with the lady who said to avoid the top 50 names.
go your federal gov portal site and have a look at the baby names posted by your bureau of statistics or who ever issues your security cards as they had lists of baby names.
Xavier has a bit of difference and class and I would have really liked to name my little boy Raphael but my husband Julian did not like it so he lumbered him with Malcolm (devotee of St Columba) and I gave him David and Raphael as middle names. A family in our parish have given their boys, the church father names of Clement (Clem), Augustus (Gus) and Anselem (Antsy), I use to think what horrible names but the names do grow on you and they beat the usual Brendans, Gerards, Patricks and Dominics of which there seem to be hundreds of little boys running around with these names. Such names are quite nice but there seems to be so many kids christened with them.
