Prayer request 911
Please pray for John D., the brother-in-law of a good friend. John survived cancer a few years ago, but the chemotherapy damaged his heart, so when he had a heart attack a few weeks ago, the damage was devastating. His doctors have been trying to help him recover to the point where a heart transplant would be an option.
John was just beginning to turn the corner when he developed sepsis today. His prognosis is grave, and his family is begging for prayers. John is a husband and father; his youngest just graduated from high school.

UPDATE: May 24, 10:00 AM John passed into eternal life yesterday evening (probably around the time I wrote the entry.) He'd received the sacraments and had his wife and children present. Eternal rest grant him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine on him.
