This looks nifty: an Idea Rolodex

Where to you store your great ideas? Do you tear out magazine articles and store them in a big binder? Do you jot down book recommendations and restaurants to try on Post-Its? Or do you just keep in all on file in your head?
Last week, I was perusing a fun paper arts store and admired a sample altered Rolodex file. I decided that I must make one of my own. I had to have one….
Mine is a place I can jot down ideas for everything from seasonal day trips and recipes to try to family traditons and scrapbook pages I want to make. I intend to fill it up with recommendations and all kinds of notes on things I want to do. And then we’ll get out there and do them!

  1. I usually get my ideas off of pages on the Internet (like this one) and keep folders for each: a recipe folder, a crafty folder, and I try to just use my laptop when I need them. Whenever I print something out it ends up on my kitchen floor with a muddy sneaker print on it. Hey, maybe that’s why I need one of these. 😉

  2. My good friend and neighbour had a kind of poster on his wall with all kinds of things he wanted and wanted to do… I liked that idea… cut-outs from magazines and newspapers…
So I did something similar in a notebook… but I mostly keep it in my head. Only problem is, when someone asks me what I want for my birthday, that is when I can think of nothing.
