Is anyone watching Colonial House?

We didn’t get to see it last night (Tuesday night) — bad storms disrupted our reception. (Yup, no cable.) So we didn’t get to see how it ended. Did the colonists vote the icky Governor off the island?

  1. I missed most of the series, saw the beginning and the end mainly. On Tuesday they harvested the corn. Native Americans came by and they talked a lot about how the colony reminded them of their history. They stole one of the colonists chickens and ate it and when they went down to see the colonists tried to make them feel guilty for all the atrocities done in the past to Native Americans. The governor’s wife said that she hadn’t thought about that and felt guilty. They didn’t trade with these Native Americans even though they had nice fur pelts.
Other people came by, the ones that taught them how to be colonists and the representatives from the company financing them. They had a big feast. They were graded on how well they did, they passed, barely. In the report that said how they did the reps did call for a new Governor to be sent over, because the new governor should concentrate on being a man of God. They were also not pleased that Sunday observance wasn’t being enforced and said that the colonists lost money on the fur trade, but established some nice relationships with the first tribe they came in contact with. They also said that they did better with the corn than they thought they would.
The last bit focused on everyone leaving and then met up with a few of them 3 months later. ]

  2. That first paragraph should say:
when they went down to see the colonists, the Native Americans tried to make them (the colonists) feel guilty for all the atrocities done in the past to Native Americans.
    I should proof-read a little better.
