WASHINGTON (Sept. 9) – Laura Bush described as “disgusting” comments by rapper Kanye West and Democratic chairman Howard Dean blaming her husband for the disproportionate number of black hurricane victims.
Good. I am glad she decided to defend her husband.I get tired of seeing democrats cast blame repeatedly while conservatives just take this stupidity.
“It’s snowing, it’s because George Bush has troops in Iraq, there’s not enough snow, it’s George Bush and his troops in Iraq!” It’s so annoying and it worse, it never gets to the root of whatever issue is at hand which whatb needs to be done.
While I am on the topic, what the hell was Kanye thinking anyway?
We already realize a lot of people that could help are at war right now, fighting another way — and they’ve given them permission to go down and shoot us!
Good grief! I am so upset with him because I thought much more of Kanye. This makes him sound so stupid, and I thought he was smarter than that.
George Bush doesn’t care about black people!
What I don’t understood about this line of thinking is all racism falls on Bush, and none falls on the State of Louisiana government. If there is racism involved, it is always a Republican who is racist because democrats are much more enlightened, and never have any kind of “them and us” complex…just when it comes to the unborn.
I know what you mean, we don’t get that kind of crap in the Canadian journals here (not about hurricane Katrina, we get plenty of other crap), but I just recieved something from the SOA watch which I usually support, pretty much blaming Bush for everything, now THAT is just slightly exaggerated. They were saying that in the papers pictures of black people with bags of food were depicted as “looters” while very similar pictures of white people carrying bags of food were depicted as “finding food”. I don’t know about you, but I haven’t seen any such thing in our papers here… What I do see are people complaining about being treated like criminals because they won’t leave. Now I’ll admit that many American officials could use some training in being less partonizing and arrogent, (this could be just one of those cultural things though where we Canadians feel the American Custums officals or whoever are being arrogent because of expressions and attitudes that we culturally understand to be arrogent whereas an American going through the same custums might not even blink an eye… kind of like the Parisians come across as always being mad, but that’s just the way they talk, you get used to it after awhile… ?) but I think it is time to wake up here! HELLO everyone in New Orleans, you are hanging on to a DEATH TRAP here! Contaminated water everywhere! E-Coli! Cholera! EPIDEMIC!! Get out!!!
Sorry that was long-winded, especially the part about the American officials but I don’t want to come across as anti-american… not in general anyway… he he… 😉
