to Florida for delivering a nice comfortable margin for their candidate
to Ohio for coming through for the President — and with a nice, comfortable margin
and to South Dakota for tossing out Daschle!

Amen!
And thank you to the American voters for giving Bush the popular vote so I don’t have to go through the next four years hearing about how he “stole” the election.
if one more person calls bush *your president* [meaning mine, not theirs] i’m going to scream — where the heck do these people come from, the moon?
thanks for allowing me to vent.
oii…yes… about the stolen election… I just this morning learned that this election was the first time since 1988 that the majority of the popular vote AND the electoral vote went to the same candidate… so next time anyone whines about Bush not getting the popular vote the first time around, Clinton didn’t manage it either time. Nobody cried that Clinton “stole” any elections.
Smockmamma… we could send them to the moon… that could be fun 🙂
That Daschle thing has had me giddy all day. :^P
In 1996 Clinton received over 45 million votes while Dole received less than 38 million. In 1992 Clinton received nearly 45 million to Bush I’s 39 million plus. So he did “get the popular vote,” more than any other candidate; he just didn’t get the majority, as in more than half, as Bush has this time.
Yep, Perot got tons of votes that year, which kind of threw off the balance.
Any time, smock 🙂
well darn… there goes my theory about whiney people. And to think I actually used to like Ross Perot (keep in mind that I was 11 in 1992… I thought the big ears were funny). Darn him for messing with statistics.
