I’ve been a Bo girl since day one. I was very impressed with that first clip they ever showed of him singing The Letter.
I’m actually happy with the results however. I think Carrie is a sweet girl who really needed this competition. Bo has gotten his exposure and won’t lose his rock-n-roll cred (not that I ever thought he would, but some nay-sayers may think differently).
I actually couldn’t stomach Constantine. I did think he was funny on Elimidate though. I think he’s better suited for a sitcom. 🙂 I liked Scott until he seemed to get too big for his britches, and well, Anthony is sweet, but dh and I kept thinking of Styx whenever we heard him sing. I loved Nadia, and enjoyed Mikalah’s obnoxious quirkiness for a change, and Vonzell was cute. lol
As for last night, the win was anti-climactic for me. But a couple of the highlights were Bo’s performance with Skynard & George Benson–He was AMAZING as usual. Oh, And I had a big laugh when I saw Hasselhoff. First SpongeBob and now this! The guy has got a great attitude! lol
I do agree that Carrie seems a sweet girl. As a matter of fact they all seemed very sweet and good to each other. But I think country music should be abolished. LOL I am kidding, but I really have no sense of it is a better way to put it.
Now see, I didn’t think Scott was getting too big for his britches as much as he was standing up to Simon. He really impressed me when he sang Hall and Oats. I love old school Hall and Oats.
Simon to me is a big bully who needs as hair cut and to either stop wearing those ugly custom made T-shirts, or start working out to do something about those flabby pectorals.
See, it must be that I have a big ‘ol soft spot for Simon I guess. lol
My favorite Scott performance was when he sang Never Too Much. That was great! Ah, & Nikko nailed it with Let’s Get It On. He just never continued to deliver after that. 🙁 Such a shame.
I’m actually a closet country fan, but I admit to mostly liking older stuff like Loretta Lynn & Patsy Cline. I watch Nashville Star as well. (gasp!) So how’s that for weird? 50 Cent to George Strait! lol
I’m a fellow Hall & Oates fan (actually, anything 80’s). I recently found this Sacramento 80’s radio station on the web and I just have to share. I’m listening to Huey Lewis right now. lol If you’re interested in getting your 80’s fix, it’s flash1039. Hurry, they’re playing Hall & Oates right now! lol
Oh, you got me. I do have a soft spot for Pasty Cline. Who doesn’t? What a voice. And then there’s Roy Orbison.
50 Cent and George Straits. LOL. We will have to raid each other’s CD collection one of these days.:)
i wasn’t rooting for anyone, i barely watched this season! (gasp) i think there was really no one overwhelming there. carrie is good, i’d have picked her over bo, but she didn’t really blow me away. vonzell was good too.
blah. hopefully next season is more fun.
My husband and I picked Carrie to win from the start. I actually thought Bo would beat her in the end tho. Guess not. I thought Vonzelle did well, but thought Anthony should have gone a LONG time ago. And yes, he DOES sound just like the dude from Styx! LOL I kept telling my husband that over and over. We also liked Nadia but could not STAND nanny-wanna-be Mikayla. *blech*
BTW, I watched Nashville Star for the first two seasons prior to this one. Just couldn’t get into it this time…. dunno why.
