\nEternal Father, strong to save,
\nWhose arm hath bound the restless wave,
\nWho biddest the mighty ocean deep
\nIts own appointed limits keep;
\nOh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
\nFor those in peril on the sea!
\nO Christ, the Lord of hill and plain
\nO’er which our traffic runs amain,
\nby mountain pass or valley low,
\nWherever Lord thy brethren go;
\nProtect them by Thy guardian hand
\nFrom every peril on the land.
\nLord, guard and guide the men who fly
\nThough the great spaces in the sky.
\nBe with them always in the air,
\nIn darkening storms or sunlight fair;
\nOh, hear us when we lift our prayer,
\nFor those in peril in the air!
\nEternal Father, Lord of hosts,
\nWatch over the men who guard our coasts.
\nProtect them from the raging seas
\nAnd give them light and life and peace.
\nGrant them from Thy great throne above
\nThe shield and shelter of Thy love.
\nEternal Father, grant, we pray,
\nTo all Marines, both night and day,
\nThe courage, honor, strength, and skill
\nTheir land to serve, thy law fulfill;
\nBe thou the shield forevermore
\nFrom every peril to the Corps.
\nO Trinity of love and power!
\nOur family shield in danger’s hour;
\nFrom rock and tempest, fire and foe,
\nProtect us wheresoever we go;
\nThus evermore shall rise to Thee
\nGlad hymns of praise from land and sea.
\nLord, guard and guide the men who fly
\nAnd those who on the ocean ply;
\nBe with our troops upon the land,
\nAnd all who for their country stand:
