John survived cancer a few years ago, but the chemotherapy damaged his heart, so when he had a heart attack a few weeks ago, the damage was devastating.  His doctors have been trying to help him recover to the point where a heart transplant would be an option.<br \/>\nJohn was just beginning to turn the corner when he developed sepsis today.  His prognosis is grave, and his family is begging for prayers.  John is a husband and father; his youngest just graduated from high school.<br \/>\nThanks in advance.<br \/>\n<strong>UPDATE: May 24, 10:00 AM<\/strong>  John passed into eternal life yesterday evening (probably around the time I wrote the entry.)  He&#8217;d received the sacraments and had his wife and children present.
