<\/a>\nI have bee eyeing one for years! I have burnt out two hand mixers trying to bake cookies. When we lived off-grid we resorted to a hand held egg beater. I have seen how the other half lives. I have felt their pain and it ain’t pretty!
\nThis was like a huge amount of money for me to plunk down on such a luxury. I spent a lot of time researching how to do this most economically so I wouldn’t wake up at night crying for throwing money out the window. Normally I have no problem purchasing things refurbished, used, off ebay or whatever, but every review said buy a new one. I considered a Sunbeam, but everyone said they are pretty much useless. The amounts of food I have been preparing has become almost ridiculous, so I figured it was time I deserved one.
\nA lot of people claim to have KitchenAids that last like 20 years. I would have loved to have inherited one. I bet my grandmother has one in storage somewhere. If I asked her for it, she would claim she needs it and try to give me this 50-year old (literally) sandwich press thing she is always trying to give me :(“you can make not only grilled cheese, but grilled ham<\/i> and cheese…”)
\nI have been eyeing the smaller ones and considered getting an Artisan in red<\/a> to match my kitchen, but my husband convinced me that soon we will have not only 4 boys to feed, but four teenaged<\/i> boys. As it is, the amount of food this family consumes has made a huge jump. A bunch of bananas? Gone in 18 hours? A jar of cookies? Gone in 8 hours. One meatloaf? Not enough-Dominic and Gecko eat 3\/4 of it alone. So, God bless my husband, whatever helps me create mass quantities of food is a worthy investment in his logic.
