When I was an adolescent, I think I was the only one I knew who was not only Pro-life, but did not have an abortion. When I was 17, my “best friend” had an abortion. Actually, I came to find out later the number was more like 4 abortions…<\/p>\n
I thought she was my best friend. We were on the cheerleading squad together in High School, she was the Matron of Honour at my wedding, I was her son’s Godmother-you get the picture. I had to end our friendship because I found out later she was bending anyone’s ear who would listen, including my husband, about my secret life. When no one was looking I was having numerous affairs and had 6 abortions. I mean the rumours she was spreading, she must have really hated me.<\/p>\n
I never understood what the deal was, I just distanced myself as much as possible as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n
Lately, I am wondering what part abortion may have played in that whole fiasco. Only because “abortion” seemed to come up time and again. Not that I think everyone who has an abortion gets so jealousy ridden they cannot think straight, but I certainly think there is something to be said about the fact society does not allow women to mourn such a loss and especially not say “Oh Gosh, I really f***ed up!”.<\/p>\n
We know mortal sin robs a person’s soul of grace and one of the side effects is basically not being able to make “right” decisions clearly. How is abortion ever a good thing for anyone… <\/p>\n
