\nYou are correct, not all women are called to motherhood. I totally agree with everything you said. Just to clarify, my thoughts were more for the author of the article then for Katheryn. There is a big difference between Katheryn’s prayerful discernment of a vocation, and the married author’s decision to not be a “breeder” despite the fact that she has names picked out for her would be children.
\nThis whole discussion also reminds me of a study my father told me about years ago. The study was about people’s reactions to babies. I think the scenario was someone standing in a public place with a baby. The findings were that women who did not have children had little or no interest in the baby, but women who had given birth could not walk past a baby with poking the child or saying “aww.” Men almost always stopped, cooed and smiled at the babies regardless of being a father or not. There are so many factors that affect these choices, most especially prayer, graces and even hormones.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
