For the period of time I was dating, one thing that struck me is we are living in a time where &#8220;masculine&#8221; is synonomous with disrespect for women. I realise that perhaps there was no time where women (or any group for that matter) had a golden age. But it seems to me being a man meant being responsible for your children and sticking to your commitments. Now it is some sort of strange charicature personified by <i>WWE<\/i>.<br \/>\nIt is a little more insidious than bad television. Each Friday night my husband gets a lecture for coming home after work instead of going out to the bar.
