One of the characters is the grandmother named Suga Mama. I decided yesterday that when I am a grandmother I want to be called Suga Mama too. Why? I cannot think of anything sillier. My husband was appalled and said&#8221;that&#8217;s just silly,&#8221; which made me like it even more.<br \/>\nI can see it now, little grandkids coming to me while I say &#8220;come here and give Suga Mama some suga&#8230;&#8221;<br \/>\nMy father is known to my children as &#8220;Boompa&#8221;. Why? I think for the same reason-it sounds really silly. He took the name from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0056255\/\"><i>Mr.Hobbs Takes a Vacation<\/i><\/a> where the main character&#8217;s grandson keeps following his grandfather around calling him &#8220;Boompa&#8221;. Mr. Hobbs in frustration finally asks the child &#8220;why do you keep calling me Boompa?&#8221;<br \/>\nThe child replies &#8220;because I love you.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grand-names My children like to watch a show on the Disney Channel called The Proud Family.
