That black hole in my house has eaten my travel mug — the second one consumed this year. I’m really fond of this one and I wish the anomaly would give it back. I wonder if I need to come up with something to trade?
St Anthony, please help!
UPDATE: My husband found it that night — I woke up this morning (Saturday) to find it on my nightstand. Thanks dh and intercessors!

Hi: I forwarded a quick request to St. ANthony for you. Being a coffee person I understand the trauma of losing a good travel mug. We have that same black hole. It eats baby socks and one hair clip out of every matching pair. With three small girls this represents a significant loss. I hate that.
Have a great day.
Blessings,
Mary Ellen
If it shows up here, I’ll send it back to you. If you notice a single man’s khaki sock and a green barrette, would you send them back here?
:0)
Thanks ladies! Mary Ellen, feeling your pain on those hair clips. The mug was one of those ones with the inserts you could personalize, so I had fixed it up with pictures of Hambet.
Terry, I will certainly keep an eye out for those things. I was getting ready to ask you how you came to be looking for a single man’s sock, seeing as you are a married lady — and how I was going to tell the sock belonged to a single man and not a married man — but then I remembered that Zteen would certainly qualify as the single man in your household…
Boudreaux’s cookie Monster doll was sucked up by the black hole too. cant for the life of me find it, even with st.Anthony’s help!
I suggest trading him the mug for the honor of being your next child’s namesake. Slips that other request in there with the one for the mug. 😀
Praying for you and your needs and intentions.
I’ll be sure to tell him to keep an eye out for it.
Holy Saint Anthony, gentle and powerful in your help, your love for God and charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were always ready to request for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, We implore you to obtain for Peony the finding of her travel mug. The answer to our prayer may require a miracle. Even so, you are the Saint of miracles. Gentle and loving Saint Anthony, whose heart is ever full of human sympathy, take our petition to the Infant Savior for whom you have such a great love, and the gratitude of our hearts will ever be yours. Amen.
I keep losing my hair restraints, too. But the socks have been behaving themselves lately!
Y’all might get a kick out of reading Selkie’s recent post on placenta brain and the missing keys….
I’ve lost two travel mugs in that last month or so as well. Ask your husband to check around for me.
