Nat Hentoff on the abuse question

Nat Hentoff, a writer of great integrity, has been writing a great series this week about Terri Schiavo. He takes up the abuse question in this piece: Was Terri Schiavo Beaten in 1990?

I don't even have time to read this piece right now, but thanks for the heads up. Nat Hentoff is great. He's an atheist, as I'm sure everyone knows, but hasn't destroyed that part of his conscience that says we're not God and we don't have the right to eliminate people who don't live up to our specifications. I like him so much that when I found out my sister is getting into jazz, I bought her one of his works on the subject for her birthday.

Didn't I SAY so? A woman doesn't fall down in her house - supposedly from a heart attack - and break all those bones. If she fell out of a third-floor window, perhaps, but not just falling to the floor from a standing position. It looked to me right from the start as though she'd been very thoroughly roughed up.

and that was certainly the conclusion of the dr who read her bone scan way back when. I don't understand why that wasn't followed up.
