1. What did you have for breakfast this morning? If you didn't have breakfast, why not? I had a bowl of cereal and some veggie sausage.
2. What's your favorite cereal? Trader Joe's Essentials.
3. How often do you eat out? Do you want that to change? We eat out as a family at least once a week. I would like to cut back on that.
4. What do you plan on having for dinner tonight? Got a recipe for that? Omelettes with mushrooms and cheese.
5. What's your favorite restaurant? Why? I don't really have a favorite. Anyplace quiet with plenty of hot coffee and a Hambet-friendly environment is fine with me. I like the sandwiches at the Cheese Shop in Williamsburg, Virginia (turkey and ham combo, French bread, house dressing. Perfect with hot cider or a ginger ale on a crisp autumn afternoon.)
Fresh mushrooms or canned (or as I call the canned "slugs")? I don't think I've had a mushroom omelette before; with fresh it might be good.
Anyplace quiet with ... a Hambet-friendly environment is fine with me.

I prefer fresh, although the ones I used last night had been in the fridge a little too long and were beginning to resemble freeze-dried astronaut food. (the lettuce also froze -- yuk) I sliced the mushrooms and let them cook over medium low heat with a mashed clove of garlic. Nice fresh mushrooms will start to shrink, smell good, and make their own cooking liquid, which is just right for the garlic. After they're nice and soft I just scoop them into a little dish and get ready to make the omelettes in the same pan.
I wonder if it would be possible to cook mushrooms and freeze them for situations such as Pansy's? I know TJ's sells frozen mushrooms.
