I'm Going To Have a Heart Attack

A State Trooper just left here. Why? Because my four year old, Fastolph was angry at his brother for "ignoring" him and called 911 on him. I made Fastolph come outside and explain why he called 911 and the Police Officer told him "you can only call the police if there is a real emergency there, Buddy."

I think everyone must have that one child, while incredibly cute and charming at times, brings new definition to the term "Handful".

Ack! I'm actually surprised this hasn't happened to us yet!

Eeeeek! I've been trying to explain 911 to the Little Guy . . . so far, he still thinks that burglars come to your house wearing black masks and carrying money bags with $$ printed on them.

I have a feeling that the message isn't getting through too well. Sympathies!

when i was working at a restaurant I met a little guy (around 4) who had a huge shiny police badge pinned to his little striped shirt. I made an admiring remark, and his mom said he had been calling 911 a few too many times (he just liked seeing the police and firemen driving up)... the police invited him down to the station, gave him a tour, and gave him the badge -- and told him if he called 911 for fun again, they'd take the badge away! After that, no more problems.

Oh my. I too wonder why this has happened to us...yet. Still, "good memories" for when they are older?

(i'm almost afraid to comment, lest i jinx our house!)

When 911 was introduced in our area - about 10 years ago - every child in town tried it out. At least once. My worst moment was when one of my kids called 911 to report that a sib had stolen his fruit snacks. Of course, the police have to follow up on every call.....

Everyone does have that 'one' child.....when you meet people who say none of my children never did this or that, all one can think is, "You just didn't have enough children!"

M'LYNN!!!!!

YOU MEAN THEY DON'T????????

THAT SHOOTS MY WHOLE SECURITY SYSTEM TO H***!

And Smock, we're just waiting for G3 to get old enough to reach the phone. Any baby that hungry for KrispyKrack is gonna be TROUBLE.

my nephew pulled that stunt the day after the police visited his 1st grade class to explain 911 - even though they carefully explained that it was for emergencies only, he still called "to see if it really worked". He is in High School now and a real science fiend - he just has to check out everything first hand!

Great story. I love that kid.
