Hoist the yellow flag

Poor Hambet had a fever all day yesterday. He hasn't been crabby at all, but he's been content to just stay curled up on the bed or in a chair -- it's weird to see him so droopy. His appetite's not great, but he's keeping down what he does eat and drink.

At first I was just going to ride it out with him, but last night I saw a weird spot on his tummy -- it looked like the beginning of a rash. So now I'm waiting for the doctor's office to open up so I can give them a call.

He just woke up and found his way downstairs. He's also discovered that Daddy's left for work, so it's time for our daily tears: Where's Daddy? I need my Daddy! I miss him!

Poor Hambet. I remember when I was little how, before Kindergarten, my dad would get up at like 6 am, set our clothes out for us, then make us pot of thoroughly burnt oatmeal. If there's one thing that is true for every little boy everywhere, it's that daddy is superman.

We go through something like that multiple times a day what with Daddy working in the basement with trips out to do stuff for clients. But at least that means Davey has unusual access to his Daddy during the day.

Poor Hambet. I hope his illness passes quickly.

I pray Hambet is all better soon. I like your new background. 'Tis pretty. :-D

poor kidlet. I hope his dad appreciates how much his son loves him!
