Hola From The Great Beyond!

Man do I miss you folks! I am sure Peony has posed that something with my modem is screwy. And since my husband thought it was great to make our computer a Mac, repairs are probably costly, and costly non-essentials are not in the stars rght now.

At first I thought the computer break down was a blessing because I was spending waayyyyy much time online an often found myself wishing for the days before the internet. I know, you are thinking "why not just cut down onine time?" Easier said than done for some reason. Anyhow, you know the saying "be careful what you wish for".

Actually I am getting much more done around the house, sort of. This pregnancy is kicking my butt. Since this is my 7th pregnancy, I am having really, really badround ligament pains which stop me dead in my tracks and literally put me in tears. I have been blessed with very cool weather (approx. high of 70) until this past week, which leaves me with the ability to do more than lay around. But besides discomfort, all is well. It also does not help when midwives are kind of like "well you've had so many babies, what do you expect?"

But I am really, really missing my Catholic online companions. I kind of feel like I am drowning with out like minded peers. For the 4th of July weekend we went to visit my in-laws and grandmother. Lots of lectures about how we really need to stop having children. This really hurts my feelings. I have only had two "congratulations" from people in real life. My grandmother gave me a repeat lecture on Wednesday "You really should not have any more children. I know the Church wants you to have as many children as possible but you are just a little girl and you can't handle it." Ugh.

In other news, our summer pastime on the weekends has been the drive-ins because we are surrounded by qite a few. The one down the road from us charges us $12 for two movies. The little ones fall asleep and a good time is usually had by all. We have seen Stepford Wives, Garfield, Day After Tomorrow, Dodgeball (very funny),Harry Potter 3, Spider-Man (3x's), I-Robot, Chronicles of Riddick,Catwoman, Shrek 2, Envy. Many are more worth seeing due to cheap drive-in prices.

My neighbor and his family came over and presented the children wth a new kitten the kids named Legolas. They adore him, except the two older boy seem to be allergic, but only if they hold him all day. Our older cat, Chun Li, is not at all pleased ad has taken revenge by peeing on the boys bed if they leave their bedroom door open. Agita. My husband wants to get rid of her, bt she as been with us since shortly after our wedding. Oh, yes, we celebrated our ten year anniversary on 6/18.

Garden report? Oh brother. Can you say "weeds". My corn is dying form the weeds. It is almost impossible to keep up with. I think my rhubarb is dead-too much rain. My tomato plants are covered with tons of green roma tomatoes, but my dh has to weed whack the area periodically to get o the raised beds. My dill is as tall as me, my habenaeros did not sprout, my collards are delicious, but I have to cut the all down and cook them because the grasshoppers or whatever they are starting to eat them all, my cilantro is sprouting coriander seeds, my zucchini is growing, my jalapenos are spouting peppr buds but are not growing. The Amish gardens are so neat and perfect.

Well, better wrap this up and hope it publishes. My parents' computer is so slow. If it has editing errors, I apologise in advance.

God bless you guys and I miss you.

Oh, btw, we are having a boy. He needs a couple of prayers. The area of his brain where there are the pockets o fluid, brain dead and exhauseted me forgets, is it the "cortex" are measuring borderline large ad will be continued to be monitored. All looks OK though. Also pray we come up with a name-it is causing some vicious battles between Mr. and Mrs. Upstate Moss. Oh well. Ok this 'puter is having a fit. Let me publish.

Hi Pansy!!!

I miss you! Stay well, enjoy those films, and be assured of my prayers for your new little guy. {{{Hugs}}}

Oh, Pansy, we miss you, too!! (Peony, we'd miss you just as much if your internet connection bit it)
Will continue to pray for the Upstate Mosses and especially Baby Boy the 4th. He'll need a good strong name. Shall we brainstorm? My first suggestion would be Matthew, as we don't intend to use it, but you already have one of those. *grin*
I know you are pretty much out in the middle of nowhere, but what about a public library with the 'net that also has a summer story hour to entertain the young Mosses while you putter at the 'puter? (asking a lot in a rural area, I know)
Hurry back & take care of that wonderful family of yours!
When you do get back, check out our new blog, too, and all our wedding pictures :o)

Hi Pansy, will pray for little baby boy Moss too.

Hi Pansy!

I'm envious of your access to the driveins! One of the great memories of my growing up!

Woo hoo on the baby boy! All the mamas'll be prayin' for him and you.

AND we'll start working on a name.

Blessings to you!

Mamma mia! Everyone knows that the ideal name for a boy is Benito. My plan is to name every boy that we have Benito (Benito Primo, Benito Secundo, etc., with maybe a break for a Domenico). Unfortunately Melanie does not like this plan, so that leaves the name(s) free for others to use.

Anyway, it is good to read that all is more or less well with you! Will pray for you and your family as requested.

Pansy:

Getting the modem (if that is in fact the problem) fixed/replaced shouldn't actually be that expensive. If you're told it will cost more than $100, that person either doesn't know what he/she is doing, or is trying to line his/her pockets at your expense.

I'm something of a Mac - geek (4 Macs of varying vintage). I'd be happy to help out with advice/guidance if you like.

Another thing: when it comes to any computer parts or even whole systems, the word of the wise is eBay.
