TSM Book find

I received a note from a reader wondering if I knew where to locate a copy of Fr William Virtue's Mother and Infant, a primary text for Catholic AP types.

I do not. And now I want a copy too. Any ideas? I suggested asking at the Newman Bookstore; the JPII Institute for Marriage and the Family might also be a good place to inquire. I'll be talking to a friend this afternoon who's a JPII alumna; perhaps she will know. (Perhaps she'll have a copy I can borrow!)

I checked in at ABE book sellers and A Libris - neither had even heard of it! but I set up to be notified if one comes in their door.
I see that it was a doctoral thesis - maybe writing to the university could generate a copy?

I was only able to secure my copy by personally writing to Fr. Virtue for it c/o the church where he was serving back in 1998. In his letter, he stated it was "one of the last remaining copies."

Still, I think Alicia might be onto something. If there were enough demand directed to the college, perhaps they would be able to publish more copies. I'm not sure how that all works or even if they'd do such a thing.

The college information on the book is as follows:
Pontificia Studiorum Universitas A S. Thoma Aquino in Urbe, Romae 1995
I believe that translates into the "Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome", better known as the Angelicum: http://www.angelicum.org/

one handed typing wih baby...

you can contact fr virtue via the diocese of peoria, contact info at www.cdop.org

I have taken out a copy from the Harvard Divinity School library. Perhaps one could borrow it via interlibrary loan and make some photocopies. I'm sure photocopying an out of print book for personal use isn't too ethically awful.

I also ran across this article http://www.canticlemagazine.com/pastissues/issue04_interview.html while searching
