I'd been trying to come up with something amusing (it's been a while since I did a funny search string post), but I'm happier to be able to just supply the link at last.
Franklin Jennings is named Jerome?
I would not be surprised if there is some historical figure named Franklin Jennings of whom I am completely ignorant and this is an obvious pseudonym to the educated. Or if "Jerome" is the pseudonym after the saint often characterized as a bit cranky, shall we say...
Jerome is my confirmation name, and yes, he chose me because I too can be cranky* sometimes. In fact, I am sure there are quite a few souls in St. Blog's who would happily supply me with my own rock, if I had the guts to use it properly.
If there is already an historical figure named Franklin Jennings, future historians will have a nightmare keeping the two of us straight. That poor man will have all sorts of crazed and eccentric ideas attributed to him.
*Cranky ought to win you "Understatement of the Decade." Viscious and Nasty are the adjectives I usually apply to both we Jeromes.
