I think Raphael works.

John Paul is like the only boy name we have left if we have a third boy (I can't imagine #3 not being a boy either. Well, I like Joseph too but our last name starts with "F" and it might sound weird.) But I guess she could use the Italian version and it wouldn't be too confusing, esp. if it's Hobbitized for use in the blog world. Or maybe I'll have gotten a life and abandoned the Internet by the time we have a third.

I prefer GianPaolo myself, it seems really kinda poetic!

I really woudl have liked to name our son Raphael but my husband would not come at it as a first name. It is buried as a middle name but I think Raphael is the best archangel being healer and guardian of travellers, you can keep the other two especially Michael. In his noveanna he is cited at great prince in the heavenly court

Alphonsus as a name I always thnk of Angela's ashes when the eldest boy narrates the horror of his parents naming their youngest brother that name when they had nothing material to give any of them.

Henry and Auden are my current favorites.
