My Neighbors

are so kind. We were visiting my mother yesterday and when we came home there were two wagon tracks in the snow. Not unusual because my Amish neighbors use our phone. They left a casserole for us by the phone.

That was just so sweet. It is also a big comparison to the neighbors who used to just stare at us through their windows in Albany.

Thank God for good neighbors when you got em... we have literally lost a lot of sleep this year about our insane (literally) neighbors ... it is a really bad scene when your neighbors are hostile and intolerant of your children ... after spending the year trying to "work it out like adults" only to be met with increasing psychosis and hostility, we have resorted to "walking away very slowly and calmly" and are now looking for 30 acres!

How sweet. I aspire to be a neighbor like that. Well, our right-side neighbors are much more homeowner's-association-ish than we are, but the lady next door brought us a homemade dinner when DS2 was born, which was very nice since we really have no personal relationship. I'm still lagging in the thank-you-note department, let alone the bring-a-casserole department.
