So why is the ice cream man on your bad list? My issue is that the last time he came through, he came an hour early and went hurtling around the cul-de-sac at a little less than the speed of sound. My little boy was running through the house, trying to get his shoes so he could go buy some ice cream, and ended up slipping and hitting his head hard. Meanwhile my efforts to flag down the ice cream man were in vain. So there I am, ice cream money burning a hole in my pocket, trying to get an ice pack on Hambet's head. Hambet's crying because his head hurts (the bump was the size of a plum) and because the ice pack stings, and then starts crying even harder when he learns that for all that we still missed the ice cream man.

That always happens to us with ice cream trucks. They are too expensive anyway.

My beef with the ice cream man is that he comes every other day and when I was a kid he came once a month. (I'm jealous.) Plus he plays a far more annoying tune than my ice cream man played. :)

I like House better at 8. I used to fall asleep when it was on at 9 and miss the ending. Since they have been playing the reruns, I finally get to see what happens.

My beef with House at 8 is that it's just too darn early -- I'm not confident I'm going to be able to get Hambet good and asleep in enough time for me to get back downstairs and get good and prepared.

When the new season starts we should have episode discussions. September 5!

Yeah, I figured. I lock myself in my room when House is on and let the kids have the living room. Except for Rosey Posey, none of them are interested anyway. Rosey Posey likes his way with words.
