Sorry -- after Dawn`s post about the crossdressing man, I couldn`t resist! :)

St. George - and he can have loads of fun if another kid dresses as a dragon!

St. Peter...had the sword in the garden and cut off the ear of those arresting Christ.

Or, you could always get him a pistol and dress him as St Gabriel Ponsetti...

Probably any king-saint like St. Louis--then you get a sword and a crown :)

Thanks for all the great suggestions (and Sparki, I remember that awesome St Hubert costume!)

We decided to go with St George! I dug in my fabric box and found some white muslin for the tabard. I used grosgrain ribbon for the red cross. Existing sword and shield props from Ikea et voila! Off to the party!
