There is a famous painting by Wyeth called Christina's World that was painted down he road from my parents' house. The barn and the field there is the setting. It looks exactly the same sans Christina. The area is rapidly being built up in like the last year. I have to take a picture of it before someone puts a development next to it.
Hmmm, I just looked up the painting on Wikipedia and they say it is located in Maine. I guess it is some sort of local legend everyone just believes.
